Posted April 03, 2019 06:37:51Aoki Golf Course, the company behind the hugely popular Monster Mini Golf courses, has been acquired by a Japanese company called Golf TeeTimes.
The deal is worth an estimated $2.7 million per year for the two companies, according to a company statement.
“Aoki’s commitment to the game has always been clear, and this acquisition provides the perfect opportunity to build a sustainable business with a sustainable future,” said a Golf TeeTime spokesperson.
The Japanese company also owns the golf courses in Japan’s largest golf destination, Miyazaki, and its first-class facilities in the United States.
“We’re very proud of our continued partnership with Aoki and our commitment to helping players become better golfers,” said Jason DePasquale, Golf TeeSports’ CEO.
“As the golf industry evolves in China, Japan and around the world, we see an opportunity to create a new standard for golf course design and design to provide players with a better experience.”
Aoki said the acquisition would allow the company to focus on a new business model.
“The acquisition of Golf Tee is a significant milestone for our company and our business,” said Aoki CEO Kazuo Fujimoto.
“This will allow us to continue to focus our attention on building and expanding the Golf Tee Games and we’re confident that we’ll be able to continue this growth in the future.”
